The church on fire …

My kids are 5 and 7, and I was recently prompted to get them both their own Bible. Sure, we had other kid versions. However, a couple months ago, we got them a NIV Adventure Bible.

and here is the heart of why…

The world is getting loud.
But we pray that God’s words are stored up in their hearts (Psalm 119:11) so that HIS TRUTHS ARE ALWAYS LOUDER.

“We can’t water down the Word when the world is coming in like fiery flames. Instead, we must immerse our children in God’s Truths so that His Words fuels their fire within, a fire that lives for God’s love. Our kids too are, and must become, part of the church on fire.”

My life changed when I started to spend time daily in God’s presence, reading the Bible. I want those life-giving Words to fill my children’s lives too. I want them to store them as their fuel.

So every night after we read books, we read the Bible. (Taking turns between their pink and yellow/green covers to avoid sibling arguments ). Then, we talk and we pray.
