No one else can do what God created you to do! No one can be YOU!

So why compete for someone else’s?
Listen, I am a competitor at heart. I played sports until college & it’s ingrained in me to try to win. But this battle & everything in it has already been won! Jesus defeated it all. He is the victor & through Him we all are too.
We all were created with a distinct & beautiful purpose. There is a calling on each of our lives.
When we look at it that way, there is no reason to compete. Still, it’s a human tendency to do so. It is so easy to get stuck trying to keep up with the ways of the world, feeling like we are missing out (aka FOMO), or that we need to do this or that before someone else does. Or maybe we even begin to think, “Why should I do it when so many others are?”
The lies can SEEM to go on & on.
BUT ONLY THE PROMISES OF GOD REALLY DO!
They are the only TRUTHS we must cling to. Because the lies got nothing on His truths.
As a child of God, we are already known & loved. No platform or amount of likes can erase that. No award or honor can earn it.
As a new author, I would be lying if I said I didn’t feel the pressure to get them all published ASAP. Sure, the feelings are okay to feel. In fact, it may help motivate us. But, we must:
🙌🏼 lift them
🙏🏻 pray & listen to where God leads
🤍 obey in humility
God will lift us up in His timing.
In the meantime, let’s learn to take up our God-given space as we encourage others to do the same.
Because the beauty is in the lifting, not the competing.
The reality is I don’t really own anything. All my gifts/talents were given to me as gifts. Therefore, who am I to brag or boast? Who am I to compete?
There is a world that needs Jesus!
Competition can’t teach that
but being who each of us are called to be CAN! It can bring so much beauty. But it’s in the lifting …
Lifting it ALL to Him
Lifting others in LOVE.
