Here is an interesting article about food additives that I stumbled upon.   Instead of becoming fearful of more foods, this article adds confirmation to the importance of understanding what is in our food.  Because it is Friday, we definitely smile on to the weekend…

Everyone has the right to consume what they decide is appropriate for their bodies. I am of the mindset that common sense plays an integral role in my decision making process. Whether a chemical is determined through research to be classified as unharmful, harmful or neutral it is my opinion that it remains a chemical of which the body still needs to determine how to process. Therefore, the RESPONSE by the body to an unharmful chemical can potentially cause harmful effects. The response of the body to real healthy whole foods on the other hand produces improved function and better health. The question becomes, are your food choices more inclined to produce HEALTHY OUTCOMES or more likely to produce UNKNOWN OUTCOMES. Is it worth experimenting with products containing preservatives, colorings and other chemicals with the ONE body you’re supplied to live out your entire life when healthier food choices are easily available?

Thank you again for sharing your thoughts. They are appreciated and always add interesting insight. It is often how I feel about food and other areas of health these days…experimenting. However, in our personal experiences, I call it “playing detective” now because it is more about a healthy lifestyle and learning what works best for each of us. Thanks again!
